Bangkok Day 1 : Chatuchak Weekend Market

Day 1 @ 15 June 2013

The moment we landed in Don Mueang airport, it was already 12.40pm..
And by the time we reach our hotel; it was nearly 2+pm.
Not to waste anymore time, both of us quickly chuck our luggage bags and zoom straight to Chatuchak Weekend Market which also now known as "JJ Market"

We waited for our BTS to Mo Chit Station

The BTS is in time and within 10-15min ride, we reach Mo Chit Station to start our shopping in JJ Market. It is famously know by both locals & tourist and it's only open during the weekend from Friday to Sunday. In order not to missed it, do come during the weekends...EARLY in the morning around 10am when the weather is still not so hot.

Once you come out from the BTS in Mo Chit, there is signboard showing where you should go
JJ Market is on the right side. Check out the crowds & Jam ! =_="

The first thing when we reach JJ market, food is the main thing in our mind ! We are freaking hungry! Haha

When i come BKK, this is the only t-shirt i buy! RM 7 p/piece!  It is so light & extremly great for traveling!

Quality wise is good!

I have bought a few t-shirts like above 2 years back and still wearing it today daily when i'm out shopping ! Quality is just nice ! Light & easy to pack while traveling.

We spend nearly 3-4+hours in JJ market, when we decided to head back to our hotel as we'll be meeting up with my local Thai friend, N :) It has been ages since i last met him and it was great to met up it him again !!

This round, he took us to a very local shop, about 10-15min BTS ride. I have forgotten which station that we stop, but the place he took is definitely really local as you don't see any tourist at all .
The food that he called was all very delicious & local. We were too hungry that i had forgotten to take the each of the food pictures. =_="

TomYum

Anyway, it was a great met up with N & his Friends. Not to mention, N is very good in converse in Mandarin...way better than me ! I am still learning my mandarin, not really good but it is catching up. Haha

With N & His Buddies :)
Overall, our 1st day is thoroughly fulfilling having to met up with N & his buddies which is totally down to earth ! Not to mention, our tummy is very delightful too :)
