Budget Seoul March 2013

Seoul...



A place that everyone wish to go...
Most people taught that traveling to seoul is an expensive place to go..
Because of language barrier, most people will prefer to go on tour than backpacking..
But will you believe me if i tell u all i spend was total RM 2,944 nett for my 7D6N ; which include my return flight ticket to Seoul, 6 nights accommodation,currency exchange to use for food, transport, admission fees & some light shopping in seoul :)

Return Flights ticket     : RM809 nett (include tax, insurance, return luggage)
6 Nights Stay p/pax      : KWR 180,000 (around RM515, room sharing among 3 pax)
Currency Exchange     : RM 1,620 (spend on food,transport,admission fees, light shopping)
Total Spend 7D6N       : RM 2,944 nett                                                                                    

Travel has become my passion, and because of that..i will prefer traveling in the most budget way, yet convenient too. :)
Planning my own itinerary few months before so that it will be easier for me to know my direction of places to visit.
Language is no longer a barrier in Seoul City. Many of them are learning english.
You will be even more surprise when some of them speak mandarin with you.
Nevertheless, i did came across some which doesn't understand english when i was lost.
But they went extra miles in telephone their friends who understand english or mandarin so that they can guide us to our destination... and i was deeply touch by them.. :)



Below is my itinerary for my trip :

Day 1
16:30pm   : Landed @ Seoul Incheon Airport.
                 : Took subway from Airport --> Hongyik MRT (46min; KWR3,850 @ RM10.62)
                 : Had dinner @ Hongyik area & shop around the famous Hongyik area.

Day 2
10:00am  : Noryangjin Fish Market (노량진시장)
12:00pm : Myeongdong Shopping Area  & Myeongdong Cathedral (Church)

Day 3
10:00am : Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁) - Close on Tuesday
12:00pm : Tosokchon (토속촌) - Famous Samgyetang (Chicken Ginseng Soup)
 2:00pm  : Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을)
 5:00pm  :Ssamziegil , Insadong (인사동)  Shopping Area, Jogyesa Temple
 8:00pm  :  Doota (두산타워) & AM-PM Shopping area

Day 4
11:00am : Reach Everland & Spend nearly whole day there
8:00 pm  : Reach Gangnam area & Shop around

Day 5
10:30am : Reach "Cheongpyeong (청평) Station. Wait for the "KWR 5,000- Gapyeong Shuttle Bus
               : Reach "Petite France (쁘띠프랑스)"
               : Reach "Namiseom Island (남이섬 종합휴양지)

Day 6
10:00am : Shopping @ Apgujeong (압구정) area
1:00pm : N Seoul Tower (남산타워)
              : Last minute shopping @ Myeongdong & Hongyik area

Day 7
09:25am : Flight back to Malaysia

    Any recommendation if i go Seoul during winter season? Is it suitable to visit Everland during winter?

      I havent been during winter season yet.
      But the last i went was end of march...cold going to spring..
      Everland close at 7pm cz it turns dark very fast. Hence it wil be advisable to check their website what time they close
